Who We Are
In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them. Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley is a safe place to learn and grow -- all while having fun.

~ Our Members ~
Our members come from all racial, social and economic backgrounds. Our Club accepts all children for who they are, regardless of need. We only require that members show respect to the staff and their peers and live within the ideals of the Club's mission.
The Club serves 1000 youth per year, ranging in age from 5-17. While a majority of the youth live in Maynard, a number of them come from neighboring towns of Stow, Concord, Acton and Sudbury. For only $40 per year, kids enjoy a wide array of programming in a safe, adult supervised environment.
Each member agrees to abide by a set of rules that encourage working together to solve problems and differences. Our programs are designed to encourage discussion and to emphasize alternatives to the trouble kids can get into on the streets.
The communities we serve are close knit and the members are friends inside and outside the club, at local schools, recreation and sport leagues. The interaction they learn at the Boys & Girls Club is carried forward in their day to day activities.
Members of the community are also an important part of the Boys & Girls Club family. By supporting our volunteer base, tutoring members, chaperoning field trips, and attending various fundraisers, our comminty is in tremedous support of Club activities. Without community support, the Club would not be where it is today.
