"Great Futures Start Here"
The Mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley is to promote the growth of young people in our community by empowering them to become productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Over 750 members strong
Over the last three years we have decreased our overhead and now spend more on program support.
The only full-time youth service organization in the area
It costs approximately $800 to support a child in our programs for 1 year, while the fee to attend is $40.
The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley is "Happy."

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley,Inc. has been serving children in the Maynard, Stow, Concord, Acton and Sudbury, Massachusetts area for over 40 years. Our organization’s history closely mimics the history of many of our club members; over the last four decades we have overcome many challenges, from insufficient program management to near closings, but over the last four years our Club’s team has increased program offerings, doubled our youth retention rate and have remained on a consistent trend of positive growth.
Our Club has adapted its programs to meet the ever-changing needs of the community we serve. We impact the lives of more than 1,800 children annually through a variety of youth-centered programs. Our primary goal is to create programming that can help enrich the lives of children from all walks of life.

    Safe Place

Our Club has been awarded $20,000 grant by The Sudbury Foundation to conduct a feasibility study to assess the current needs of our Club and the conditions of our building.

This study will provide a comprehensive proposal to provide a comparative analysis of three options for upgrading and expanding our facility: (1) a minor renovation addressing the most critical programmatic, building and code deficiencies; (2) a major renovation and/or partial demolition addressing all identified programmatic, building and code deficiencies; (3) demolition and replacement of the Facility on the same property.

The goal of the renovation will be to develop a facility that better meets the needs of the community and is fun and comfortable for boys and girls. This will necessarily include developing more program space, including more separate and discrete rooms and athletic spaces, updating the facility, and developing an exterior and interior that is more attractive and welcoming to the children served by our Club.

Thank you so much to the Sudbury Foundation for your continued support of our Club!

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley Chosen by Staples Associate to Receive $5000 Grant

Our Club has been awarded $5000 by Staples Foundation, the private charitable arm of Staples, Inc., under a program that lets Staples associates direct donations.

The grants are part of a philanthropic initiative created by Staples Foundation which allows Staples associates around the world to direct funding to non-profit organizations that are focused on education or job skills. The program encourages local community engagement by awarding larger grants to organizations where associates are highly engaged in volunteering or fundraising - up to $25,000 per organization.

The program, called 2 Million and Change, awards funds to organizations around the world, reaching more than $2 million in grants by the end of the year. In 2013, associates globally directed more than $2.5 million of Staples Foundation grants to over 1,000 non-profit organizations.

The Boys & Girls Club is excited to offer Spring STEAM programming as a result of this grant.  Details will be announced soon....
